My Music Video

The moment you've been waiting for is finally here. My music video has come at last! I hope that you are excited to see how all of my ideas came to fruition. From the research up until the last moments of editing, I had so much fun working on this project. I was finally able to experience what it feels like to be in the film instead of just solely directing this time. I deeply appreciate my family for helping me because filming was not as easy as they made it look in my previous project. I was very anxious when anyone else besides myself was in charge of recording because I feared it would not turn out the way I planned. But my family did an amazing job keeping up with my high demands and did not become discouraged during the filming process. I managed to put everything I learned from the commercial project into good use during this project. In the commercial project, I learned the importance of each step in the filmmaking process. I also learned how to be more open-minded and patient throughout filming and editing. During this project, I could see how my patience has grown since the commercial. When I was faced with the challenging editing portion of this project, I was not quick to become frustrated. Instead, I took the time to digest my mistakes and solve them in a manner that was more timely and relaxing compared to what an upset person would have done. I believe that evaluating the problems I have in-depth now will prepare me for even bigger problems to come in the future. Now moving on to what learned from my project this time around. I learned the importance of filming with the way you will want to edit in the back of your mind. This method helped me a lot while I worked on this project. In a sense, it was like my own personal blueprint that was always with me when I needed it. By knowing how I wanted to edit, I was able to transition between shots and match up the music with my film effortlessly. With all things taken into consideration, I think that I produced a good music video that not only tells a story but is entertaining at the same time. But there is always a way in which I could improve upon my work in the future. If I could have done something differently, I would have chosen a larger area to film my music video in. Due to the small space, I was not able to film my actors and I from any long distances which I believe made my music video a tad bit mediocre and oddly obstructed the general look of the music video. Overall, I had a great experience and I'm glad I'm continuing to build upon my knowledge in preparation for the projects to come. I can't help but to think and become excited about the next project. I hope that you enjoyed and were entertained by the music video. I'll see you next time!
