Title Research: Watch the Titles Website

On the home page of this second website, there is one drop-down menu, a designer and studio section, and a search engine. The first drop-down menu shows the six different categories the site has for title sequences. They are separated by featured films, tv shows, event titles, student projects, video games, and French Fridays. The designer and studios section lists out the names of all of the different creators and companies. The search engine was the same as the last one as it allowed you search terms and would show results for related title sequences. This website was fairly similar to the last one I conducted research on. Since this site had a category for tv shows, I decided to do some brief research on the title sequences there. I learned about the distinct difference between title sequences in movies and television shows. This that in a tv series, the sequence is often repeated and has the chance to make the show more memorable as it is repeated. Whereas in films, the title sequence is not repeated so you in a sense have one chance to capture the attention of the audience and set the tone for the film.
