Preparing to Film my Final Task: Further Scheduling
A few weeks ago, I created a schedule that I would abide by for the production of my final task. For the most part, I have followed my original schedule. Over the course of these past weeks, I have settled everything from my actors, filming site, equipment, and music. In my prior plan, I said that I would have started filming this week beginning on the 15th. This did not go as planned as I realized I had not begun my music search. It was important for me to do this because I wanted to have everything figured out or mostly thought about before I begin my filming process. This way that many problems could be encountered already and avoided as much as possible. But this did not set me back at all since I did not plan to do bulks of filming during this week. In addition to this, I was not readily prepared nor were my actors to film. Regardless of this, I am still in alignment and caught up with my current schedule. As spring break is hastily approaching, I will begin and complete the majority of my filming. With this in mind, I started to contact my actors so that we could become familiar with each other's schedules. If I am being honest I was not expected to be bombarded with a lot of plans that they already had set in place. Since spring break is a time where students are not in school, the schedules of my actors were somewhat packed. From short vacations to self-pampering, my actors all had plans for the weeklong break. After discussing dates and times we have successfully set one date in place for filming. The ideal amount of dates I would like to have for filming is three. At first, it was two days but I wanted to clear another date for possible refilms. We are currently still talking through dates and clearing our schedules. Hopefully, before the end of the weekend, we will have those three dates to film set. After I have finalized my dates I will go on as scheduled to film during spring break. During the following week, I will refilm as needed and begin editing my open sequence. I have been anticipating filming and preparing for more than a couple of days now. I can't wait to see how all of my preparations will pay off during production. I'll see you next time!
